Just to clarify.  The 999 handled just as well as the 996.  I just preferred riding the 996.

Geez dudes...I guess I threw you off? The ref to FZ isn't even about the bike, it's about anything in general that has been damaged and then covered up by a nice paint job....get it?  I never ref'd to the 999 and Frank at the time was talking about a guitar! Apologies from the both of us.
