Hello,

Need help with an electrical problem.
When I turn of the ignition the right turn indicators (both) starts flashing. Also the immoblilizer light gos on and stays on.
The bike starts and runs as usual with exception from the left (both) turn indicators which stopped working after the problem occurred.
Anybody got any idea about what might me wrong?

Thanks

has the bike been out in the rain lately?  have you had the gauges off the bike recently or disconnected the big connector off of it recently?

Yes, I've driven it in rain. The glasses on the speedometer has a crack in them so there might be a short? Would drying it work or is the thing fried?

on some monsters, the signals are controlled through the gauge cluster unit, so it sounds like you got a short likely causes by water in there.

I would recommend getting in there soon as you can with a hairdryer to get everything good and dry before it starts rusting out.   some people have had similar issues but then it gets worse (as in bike won't start at all anymore and gauges have to be replaced = lotsa $$$). if it has been a long while since the water got in there, you might have to take the gauges apart to clean out the connections.

first thing I would check though is the connector going to the gauges, check that first to make sure there is no water in there and the short isn't in there.

careful putting the connector on so you don;t bend any pins.
