Trouble posting

Hi all,

I've been having heaps of trouble posting over the last couple of weeks.  I am logged in but when I attempt to post I get a notice saying that I'm not allowed to because I'm not logged in.  So I log in again and attempt to derby the original reply to which I get an error message saying that I've already posted that reply.  It never appears on the board though.
It appears that my login is somehow not recognised or something.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Rob.

Further to the above post, the only thing I did differently to normal to get the post to register was to log in for 120 minutes instead of 60.

Sorry to hear your problems.

We have had a couple issues in the last week - here are some tips I posted in this thread

Thanks for your reply Mitt.

I've just cleared the browser history including cookies but it doesn't seem to have helped.  I logged in again for 60 minutes and immediately tried to reply to this thread but again got a message that I needed to log in.  So I logged in again for 120 minutes.  We'll see if that works.

It is confusing, and I don't know why smf did it this way, but there are 2 ways to log in.

I think the one you are using has a place to type a number of minutes, then below that, make sure you click the box "stay logged in" or something like that.

If that still doesn't work try method 2: when you logout, just below the vendors adds  at the top of the page next to the date and time, click the   button. There should be a different login box with a drop down menu that lets you select "forever", and see if that helps.
