Misaligned Rubber Tank Supports on the 695

I have another question I would like to throw out there to see if any of you have experienced a similar issue.  The rubber tank supports blocks that are mounted on the underside of the tank and come flush with the frame are not aligned on my bike (they are too wide and when the tank is centered, one sits fine, but the other is discombobulated).  I tried to loosen them and shift them, but the freeplay did not allow the blocks to be moved in enough to match up with the width of the frame.  I have shown it to my dealer and he contacted Ducati (bike is still under warranty), but their response is taking a long time.  The picture below shows where the rubber support is located on one side, there is an identical one on the other side of the tank.  Thanks for any help.

After looking over those threads, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who finds it really hard to get into that tiny space where the tank latch catches.  This sucks, I hope my tank isn't growing and becoming an issue that Duc warranty isn't going to want to fix...

They have been replacing the tanks  - but you should contact your dealer post haste

It is the expanding tank.  They *ALL* do that.  +1 to 'yuu's comment about talking w/the dealership asap.

In the interim, you can slot the tank mounting holes a little and get some more room up by the ignition lock but it's not a fix, just buys time.

What has Ducati been replacing the stock tanks with so that the problem does not just happen again?  I will call the dealer again on Tuesday when they open up and talk to them about the tank expansion.  I didn't know that was the cause or I would have mentioned it when I first showed them the problem.

That seems rather stupid to replace it with the same tank setup.  I would guess by doing so that the same problem is probably going to arise again...

you guess correct....but thats whats happening at this time.

i am going to go out on a limb and predict that if we ever see a different replacement for these tanks, it will be something along the lines of the 696/1100 tank (false exterior over interior tank)

but, to be honest, I dont think ducati is going to do anything about it.
