Bad Slave Clutch

That little white bit just behind the orange ring looks like a torn piece of the piston ring and in the 2nd picture it looks like I can see a little bit of torn O ring. The inner one is the one that keeps it from leaking fluid. The orange one is meant to keep out dust to try and protect the inner one.

Any ideas why it failed? Think just and grit just got in somehow or was it perhaps drilling and you've got other problems? If you can open it all the way up and check the piston, try to see it looks like it's been significantly worn.

i didnt drill the bolt out, i ended up slotting it. no heat or anything like that.

I think it failed because of road grime and use. I have to scrape road grime from my engine case every week. theres atleast 2 spoonfulls each time.

i just bought a show room evo unit in black at discounted price so ill be back on the road soon! just need some new levers now.
