G'day,

I have got high mounted carbon termi's, and thinking about mounting them lower (along swingarm) and closer to headers to shorten distance hanging out the back past the seat(for tail chop).

Are there any pro's / con's in doing this ?
Whats the difference in high vs low mount?
Will I need to get it tuned to suit shorter length of headers?
How much louder will it be (It's already...mmm...well...noticed;D)
Any other information would be handy.

What about trading your exhausts for low mount exhaust?

tuning shouldn't be much of an issue, but the actual mounting might be. if you're dealing with a slip-on system, everything you have is downstream of the crossover, so you really aren't changing header length.

ummm, unless I'm reading it wrong, and you're looking to do a custom dealie.

otherwise...

+1 on trading off for someone else's low mount cans

*the shorter, and more direct flow of the low mounts could certainly result in a louder overall system

Finally worked out the picture thing,

Sorry about the quality, however this is what I'm thinking about.

Anyone done the same easily?
or are high and low mounts completely different?

see if you can trade someone for low mounts that would be the best and easiest way to do things.

I'm guessing it can be done but you'll need new pipes from your cross over pipe.
As your high mounts route up through your rearsets and the low mounts  go underneath.

It would be far easier to swap or sell the high mounts and buy some new low mounts.
What Monster are they going on? That looks like an 02-ish DSS 900 maybe.

Have you found the OzMonsters board? Come on over and say G'day.
