Hi All,

Anyone know about a conversion to put a 25mm axle front wheel onto a 20mm axle monster. Is it just a change of bearings?, or are there adapters?
Or has anyone got a 20mm  axle 3 spoke Brembo for sale?Huh?

Cheers

It's a bit of a PITA, because no one makes a 12mm wide X 20mm ID bearing.  I'm probably not the best source of info, since I went from 17mm Brembos to 25mm Alipina wires, but all things being equal (hub width, speedo sensor drive, disc spacing) You could probably just have someone make a 12mm X 20mm X25mm bushing that would press fit into the larger bearing.
In my case, it turned out to be easier to put SBK forks with a 25mm axle on my monster.

Rears are about the same.  The issue is the only size 53mm (?) X 25mm bearing available is 14 mm wide (instead of the 12 mm wide ones that go in the older brembo wheels)  On my wheels, it wasn't an issue because there was a 2mm spacer on each side I removed to fit the older axle with the 14mm wide bearings.
But I'm sure you could do the same thing and have a bushing made to sleeve down the OEM bearings.

Come to think of it, the rears may be different bearings, and there MAY be a 17mm ID size that fits.  It's been a while an I can't remember.  I'll check my notes tonight if I get a chance.
