I'm headed home (Tucson) for my family's holiday party on December 12th.  I would like to rent a motorcycle while I am there.  Does anybody have a recommendation for a place that will rent out a bike?

I knew I should have included that information in my post.  I have emailed Arizona Motorcycle Rentals already and am waiting for a reply.  They rent BMW.  The others are all cruiser/harleys except bigsky has an FJR.

Anybody know of anyone personally that rents sport bikes or adventure/hyper type bikes?  Any personal experience?

I've seen AZ Sportbike Rentals (seems to be associated with Arizona Trackday out of Phoenix?) at:

No first hand experience with them, though they do list a wide range of bikes, including sportbikes and Supermoto. And I know they're in Phoenix, not Tucson; I'm up in Prescott, so don't be whining to me about having to drive somewhere to get what you want.  ;D

Another good source of info would be the AZDRA board here on the DMF -- it's got a good, active core of riders, mostly centered around Phoenix, but lots of good local knowledge.

My second hand experience with renting a bike here is the nice Swiss couple (fully decked out in Ducati logo wear) we ran into in the parking lot of our local grocery store. They spotted the Ducati sticker on the car and struck up a conversation. They were touring the state on rented Harleys, because they looked into renting Ducatis or other sportbikes and found the costs prohibitive.

Try posting up in the Arizona section of the forum to see if you get any replies.  [thumbsup]

They have got a lot of really cool bikes - best selection I've seen at a rental place.  Unfortunately, they are on the wrong side of Phoenix. I'd burn a day picking it up and dropping it off.
