Some things just don't seem like they'd work "unplugged"

A friend just had me watch this.
MTV Unplugged: Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl (Live Performance) [HQ]

My observations:
1. She's a looker. I'd never really bothered to check into what she looked like before.
2. She can, apparently, actually sing decently.
3. It's like... really lowbrow blues. (Well, come to think of it, a lot of blues is lowbrow...)
4. The song works somewhat better like this than I would have assumed.

You know, if she's actually serious about her songs, I can't get behind it. It's just too daft. But if she's just exploiting idiots who'd otherwise be listening to equally bad music, then more power to her.

Anything that encourages women to make out on the dance floor is fine with me. It's like suggesting it without having to run the risk of getting slapped yourself.
