I found a 2006 749 bi posto with 5400 miles on it with full Termi exhaust and DP ecu open clutch  cover and smoked wind screen ....however the bike has a salvage title due to a low side. Alll plastic and tank have been replaced the bike looks 100% brand new. It has not had the 6000 miles service however the seller say it does not get the next service until 7500 but i am not sure....what do you think???

not to me. There are 749S with clean title for $6000 stock. Clean title is worth more than termis. i wouldnt pay more than 4500 for it.

Kind of depends on where the bike is located. Normally I would say 6k is a good price but this time of year with the way things are in the current market it's more of a fair price. Personally I would try to look for something with a clear title first. That being said I would still like to know where He Man is shopping, cause I cant find a running 749 for anything less then $6900 regardless of condition.

the bike is here in NC. I hATE salvage titles but the bike looks good, and has the mods I want. I am going to keep looking for another M800 but a superbike may be nice!!!( and it is something i will own one day anyway)

within 250miles of NYC. i have craigs list book marked for Ducati under 8000. Theres several 749 thats 6000-7000 stock or modded with small things like clutch and slip ons. And theres a few 749s for 6500-7500 bone stock or with clutch/slip on mods. There were several 999 for 8000. and there were 3 very rare cases where there was an 848 that was clean but dropped by a retarded that didnt have full insurance. They were trying to off it for 6500. I tried to go buy one once, but the dude sold it before i got there.

It really depends on how often you keep an eye out for this kind of stuff.

heres bone stock dark ( IMHO, id pay 6000 only for this since the dark models lacks)

Also this dudes been posting for hte last 3 months. hes droped it from 8k-7.6k-7.5k and now 6.5k.

and these are clean titles to. no salvage business.

heres a 999 for only $1500 more (if you think about it, a clean frame is about 800. another 700 and you get a free upgrade to 999 motor, showa rear and coated forks)

A guy I know just bought an early model 999 with a salvage title for $3400.
