And by DC I mean Vienna, VA.

Hello All,

I recently moved to the area to start my career.  As a present to myself,  I picked up a red 2007 695.  Its my first bike and I have put about 350 miles on it since I got it in October.

I plan to come to one of the gatherings come spring time.  I only have time to ride on weekends these days, but don't be afraid to give me a wave if you see me on the bike!

Welcome to motorcycling, and the DC area, and the board!

Things are kinda slow around here right now, but I'm sure it'll pick up in the Spring.  Since we're continuing to have nice weather I haven't winterized my bike, and I hope not to.

Good luck in your new career!

Yep, the typical short day, cool weather slow down is in full effect. But once it warms up, people will perk up.

A little FYI, the mid atlantic Desmo Owners Club (DOC) is based in the area. If you haven't already, give 'em a look up. The organize a number of events like track days during the course of the year.

Very nice photo btw - but I see a couple problems with your bike...
There's these big ugly yellow things on your forks, and soem big thing hanging off the butt-end.  ;D
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Welcome to the area!

If it stays as warm as last winter, we may be riding for some time yet (even without having heated gear)! [moto]

My feelings exactly. I called DucPond Saturday, told them I wanted to come out and do a test ride on the streetfighter, see if the traction control actually worked  [evil], they did not seem interested [laugh] - Gene

Actually planning on riding this weekend - no matter what the weather.  Granted, part of it is as a fundraiser, but I'll still be out there.

congratulations on the new bike and welcome to the area.

now ride that damn thing!!!! and put a few thousand miles on it by spring. [laugh]

it looks way too new and way too clean  so get some good gear and ride it this winter on non snow/ice/rain days.   [laugh]cold as heck? you bet, but put some miles on that bike and enjoy it  Its a great bike, you really can't beat the convenience and 1st time firing up on really really really cold days that a 2v duc gives you.

good luck.
