Rat,

Its funny, I had a decent job working on Audi's and decided I hated working flat rate so I just chose finance and accounting (only 2 more classes to get both).  Within 3 weeks of my first accounting class I met someone who knew of a job opening in their company.  Couple of weeks later I was a Grease Monkey on Friday and an Accountant on Monday.  Now I work for a rather large Insurance Company in Reinsurance Accounting and absolutely love it.

I guess accounting was just a calling [roll]

My degree is finance and a few credit hours short of an economics minor.

I thought about getting an accounting minor, but I dropped out of intermediate managerial accounting.

holy shit, that class was make the beast with two backsing impossible or the Prof sucked. I think after 3 weeks, 50% of the people dropped.

Everyone always hates intermediate.  I actually loved it, my favorite classes actually.  I did have a very good teacher.

I think the thing that Franklin does best is having teachers that are actuall professionals.  My intermediate teacher was a Controller and a very big company in columbus and my corporate finance teacher was The treasurer of Big Lots.

I would agree with that.

I always loved adjunct professors as they brought real life issues into class verse a text book made up version of fiction.

Agreed.  The only thing I learned in my accounting classes is that my accountant is worth every penny.
