Stands for 2005 Monster?
«

Looks like its time to put the bike up for the winter. Towards that, I'm going to try and put it up on stands, but I'm not sure which stands will fit my bike. Any pointers?

ANy sport type front will fit since that's standarized. But as already asked, the model makes a big difference for the rear stand. Either way pit-bull or power stands make quality gear

Dual-side? I'm a novice to bike stuff, but I'm interpreting the definition of DSSA correctly, right?

yep, that is a dual sided. I have a pitbull rear stand for my DSSA bike and love it. Little pricey but well worth the money. I have a no-name stand for the SSSA that damn near killed me once. I will only but Pitbull in the future.

Is there any specific Pitbull stand that I need, or can I use the Standard Rear Stand:

and the Forklift Front Stand:

my trex stands are holding up well. I have the single side swing arm style. IMO, the way to lift the front forks is through the lower triple. I dont trust the ones that lift from the fork ends.

What front stands do you recommend that lift from the lower triple?

I have T-Rex. It works well and seems to be sturdy.
They have
both
stands packages for $140.

http://t-rex-racing.com/catalog.php?category=47
These lift the front of the bike from the lower triple. The metal dowel on the stand slides into the hole underneath the bottom triple. Just put a towel over your front fender because its easy to scratch it as you line up the stand. Trex has some nice packaged deals for front and rear. Call them up since their website doesnt tell you all the advantages of certain designs. For example, if you want to make it easier to lift the front, you can get the stand that has U shaped handle. Makes it a bit more stable as you lift the bike.
