Any Google Voice users?

I got my invite for Google Voice finally and want to know if I should use my Cell number or get a new Google voice number. I don`t have a home or work phone I just use my cell for everything. I don`t know too much about Google Voice i just like that my voicemails will turn to text. any tips or thing I should know?

i have been using google voice for a little while now. it works really well, so long as there is 3G available.
as far as using your cell number........not sure. i picked a different number, and still dont know if i made the right choice or not.

the voicemail to text is work in progress....but still kind of cool, since i can access it from the internet or my phone and see if its anything i need to look into right away.

I've been using it since this summer.

I chose another number, picked one that is local for my parents.  Then, they decided to get home phone with unlimited long distance.  Now I wish I had picked a local number for where I live, as my cell phone # is from Minneapolis (too lazy to change it).

I noticed I have 3 invites... not sure if you still need them to use the service, but I have 'em if anyone wants 'em.
