So you're saying stock calipers and maybe the rotors that came with the forks? That sounds logical.

make sure you check the steering head thoroughly, along with the engine bolt seats on the frame and through the motor. inspect the rearset and passenger foot peg mounting points as well .

make sure you get as much info on the bike's history as possible, perhaps run it by us to see if he is making sense.

what is he asking for it?
