can't the giles lever be config'd for either standard or reverse... yep, checked. it can be reverse pattern.  still have the con-rod though.

Yes, all the aftermarket and even stock rearsets can be configured for reverse my flipping over the linkage at the shaft - the only interference problems arise when using an Evoluzione slave, which uses longer bolts. (You can search DucatiSpot or Ducati.ms for images of a guy who machined down a brand new evoluzione so he could still do linkage-based reverse shifting... instead of buying a reverse shifter - WHY is beyond me).

Removing the linkage gives a really nice, positive feeling. No slop from the various connections.
