Greetings everyone  Grin

My girlfriend and I are visiting from Boston on my Stepdad's K1200GT and need to put a new front tire on it tomorrow for the journey to pismo and san diego.

Are there any local shops to recommend?  Standard 120/70/17, nothing terribly exotic.  Not terribly picky about tire type, a qualifier, Metzler m6, pilot roads, no problem  waytogo

Thanks for the help, and if anyone wants to get together tonight or Sunday night we'll be here both nights staying over on Fisherman's Wharf

Thanks for the help  [moto]

Cheers,
Adam

Subterrean Cycles.  It looks sketchy, but it's a quality shop.

I may be able to do a beer tonight after probably 8 or so.  Sunday is better.

Desmotosport on 9th between Howard and Folsom is the local Duc wrench (they're AWESOME) and Scott (the owner) knows BMWs.  That said, they're not the cheapest place in SF to get a tire.  KC Engineering is another cheap place for a tire, but I'd never set foot in there based on their reputation.

Agreed on KC Engineering. Another option may be Werkstatt.

For a full list, check out the Local Resources Thread.

And welcome!

I can recommend SJ BMW as well, but they're not open today.  They just put a new set of Pilot Roads on my K1200GT.
