Dunno.  I guess a coupla reasons.  It's a total loss system, which puts off lots of buyers b/c you either need two batteries (though it will run all day on one -- with two, you just switch 'em out at lunchtime) or you have to plug it in between session.  It's actually not a big deal at all, but it seems like a problem.  It's a former race bike and it's old, which lots of people are wary of.  There's some work to do on it -- carbs or maybe more.  And it's not streetable.  None of that *should* put off a buyer, but it's the same reason that people won't buy a dirt bike even when underneath the dirt there's a pristine machine.
