Bike:2001 S4 with completely debaffled exhaust, +4 rear sprocket, K&N, random visual mods

I'm looking to open up the airbox and make some more power.  I've read some things on some of the water cooled bikes not being able to use power commanders without a DP ECU.  I'm ready to make the purchase on the PCIII but i don't want to buy a DP ECU too if I can help it.  I saw a couple of posts saying some of the older bikes could get away with running just the PCIII.  Anyone have any insight on the topic?

Am I wasting my money with a PCIII anyways?

PCIII will work just fine on an '01 S4.

And, no, you're not wasting your money.

Thanks for the quick reply speeddog, i'll put in the order somewhere today when I'm off work.  Anyone have any suggestions on which maps would be best suited for open exhaust, and then later, open exhaust plus open airbox?  I know there are multiple maps and I can play around with them but didn't know if anyone's personal experience led them one way or another.

Been so long since I had a PCIII on my S4, I don't remember.  :P

IIRC, there's not a huge assortment, only a couple for US-spec bikes.

I'm gonna put the PCIII on the bike this weekend.  I figure someone has a map for opened up stock pipes and an open airbox on an S4, it seems like these are pretty standard mods.  If anyone has info about this please help me out.
