I know this is just a patent but here is some issues that i have with this.

So to make the engine strong enough to handle all the stresses of the road you have to beef up the motor. which i think would make a bike heavier. Second If you get into a wreck we currently can replace or bend back frame parts.  However in a frameless bike you crash and if anything strucual breaks  your toast.  I'm curious to see what Ducati does with this technology. To be honest i don't see it going past the paper/computer stage.
