I'm hoping to be going for a big ride over Easter and need new sprockets and a chain.

Any suggestions where to get these in Melb tomorrow - not online or mail order,  just wanna go to a store and buy 'em, preferably Sth Eastern 'burbs.

BTW I've done nearly 20,000 kms on the present chain/sprockets and they weren't new when I bought the 'bike, that's not bad, eh ? I do a chain lube every tank fill, seems to work for me.

TIA

Chain should be no problem to get, the sprockets might be tricky though, which Monster do you have?

- You could try Ducati City for genuine stuff
- Brad the BikeBoy in Oakleigh might have something or may be able to order it in quick.
- Road Rocket in West Melbin have a bit of after market stuff for Ducati in stock.
- Most bike shops would have a chain to suit. What about that bunch of bike shops along the Nepean Highway near Bentleigh.

Get on the horn and do the ring around.

How bad is the chain at the moment?

P.S.     there is no way I would lube my chain every 100km
P.P.S    where are you riding over Easter?

Thanks DV.

I get 200 + km from a tank on my 2000 900ie, and with the centrestand it only takes a coupla minutes to do a chain lube.

Heading up the Hume to NSW Southern Highlands, a trip I do frequently.  Had a good look at the chain and sprockets just now, I reckon I'll get another few thousand kms on 'em, so will be leaving things alone til after Easter
