OK---this may or may not be a stupid question. I recently drained the oil, not changed, drained like let it sit for a week open kind of drained. I just got the bike bback together and running well but I'll be damned if I can see any kind of fluid in the sight glass. What the heck is that supposed to be for? The bike runs fine although a bit grindier sounding in the clutch area. I have a wet clutch (620 monster). Anyway--just thought I'd throw it out there in case I inadvertantly forgot to fill another fluid reservoir......ahhh...I'm a suck mechanic but I'm trying.
thanks all!

Ummm...you put how much oil in?  How did you check the level?  Left side sight glass?  That is for timing, not oil level.

No no no---the oil level is correct in the oil check glass....man....that would be scarey. That's good info about that being for checking the timing---guess I should learn how to do that now. I was just being paranoid that I should be seeing something in the left fluid-wise---you just answered my question though. Thanks for entertaining my ignorance!
