Will this tank protector fit a monster?

Think this tank protector would work on a Monster?  Older tank style that is, not the current one.

It's made for a Sport Classic, and I am not too sure how the top of tank shapes differ.  Unfortunately I can't find sizing dimensions.

yes but the tips may curl up towards the top because of the indention in the Monster's tank.  I've seen them on Monsters.
Can we thin the gene pool?

I can see how it might not adhere because of how stuff it is and the curvature of the Monster tank.

I wonder if there is a creative solution to prevent for that curling?

update:  I ordered it, I'll give it a shot.
