Login problems

I've occasionally been getting problems with logging in.  It'll say "unable to login at this time.  Please check your cookie settings."   It just happened again now, but only lasted for about 5 minutes.

Last time (maybe ten days ago), it lasted about half a day.  I tried it from an iPhone and four different computers (on three different networks).  No go.

Other members have reported log in problems and it seems to matter which log in window you're using. I don't know why.

If the problem recurs try using the screen you get when you click the log in button instead of the one on the homepage.

I suspect all these little glitches are related to the SMF version we're using which no longer gets much support due to the fact they're trying to come up with new software.
