Are you looking to get rid of just the left side plastic piece. At that point you are going to want to remove the whole thing like in the link from cmorgan47. We also have the euro version left side coming which will make the piece symetrical since the euro models don't have the charcoal canister.

We are also working on our own plate kit, we should have pics of a mock up soon.

I haven't heard any of the exhausts on the 696 yet, we will have the QD slip ons soon and we can post a sound clip. Has anyone done a sound clip for the termi system?

Yes, i was talking about the charcoal canister< thanks...... i pulled it off but there some hoses that i didnt know what to do with them so i kind of put it back till i found out more.

the termi's do sound great though!! do you feel any horse power with them/chip intake?

Stupid question i guess but does the charcoal canister add power or what does it do bsides make the bike look better!

And yea im very interested in the plate eliminator's kit!

the charcoal canister is only there for california emissions.  doesn't really add or rob power...just looks dumb hanging there preventing you from seeing the front cylinder

just got back form my dealer, they were talking about custom fabing some cf tail kits, though no idea how soon.

On the 696, as far as I can tell, after you pull all of the tubes and plug the holes on your intake, there should only be the one BIG hose coming down from your tank.  This is just a breather hose and can be tucked up and back. maybe you'll want to put a little filter on it so nothing gets up into it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, if you can get the nipples off, you can use some M6 bolts ( I bought M5 and M6, because everyone on here said M5, but the 696 used an M6) and some locktight.  But with the way the 696 is set up, it is very hard to get the clutch side nipple off, so I just used the hoses that were there and connected one cylinder's nipple right to the other one.  Make sure you plug up the 3rd hole in the 'T' joint that hooks the two cylinders together.

Sounds fairly easy. i just have to find a place were i can get the M6 bolts. it would be cool if some one can make a step by step process showing exactly how to do everything!
