18K on TI Arrows and they look nizza!

The awesomeness of just what nizza is escapes me. But I agree.

Arrow build quality is superior to the Termi systems I have seen lately. Sound is good on both. The Ti Arrows also crash very well.

i have termi carbon slip ons, and im super worried about uv damage, ive only had the bike one year, but already i swear i can see it happening. im considering a move to arrow darks.
Have them re-cleared with automotive clear.  I did this on my dull termis and they look better than new ever did

yeah i have heard of people doing that, but my termis clear is super thin, i can feel the carbon weave. I don't see it being sand-able

I'm going to cross post these pics from another 696 arrow thread. Do you think it would be possible to have an exhaust shop tuck the arrows closer under the rear seat of the bike. Basically side by side under the seat.

You know, I love them but one of the guys I ride with who just doesn't understand Italian style says that all the dual side cans on the 696 make it look like a slow touring bike... He rides a full size victory 1500. But my bike looks slow with dual cans...

I believe Raux is doing something similar.... The issues would be 1. fabricating new midpipe and 2. where does the license plate and turn signals go?

I bet if you purchased a mid-pipe from Ryanracer for his underseat exhaust(just mid-pipe), and then were able to have a exhaust shop weld a Y-pipe which pushed the slipons together then yea, it is probably doable. The stock 696 mid-pipe/Y-pipe are all one peice.. You would just need to fabricate some mounts for the exhaust to be supported, which might be easy

Mine were the same and turned out great.  What have you got to lose?

This makes it sound fairly do-able. Buy the arrow slipons, Ryan's midpipe and have my friends at Fast By Ferracci fab me up a y-pipe. I bet I could re-purpose the factory hangers to use with the under seat setup. I wonder how it would effect the rear lights and license plate.

It might be more feasible to just have them tucked in much closer to the tail of the bike. Instead of being fully under the tail just much closer, under the turn signals possibly or partially under the tail on the sides of the license plate (w/ my R&G fender kit)

Those Arrows look great!  [thumbsup]

You'll also run into clearance issues with the back tire when the suspension compresses if you put them under the seat.

the H-competition exhaust has plenty of clearance and no issues.... if you were to turn the slipons so they were horizontal, rather that vertical I believe that they would easily clear the rear fender... But I am not sure how wide they are and it would have to be a consideration when putting them on

Maybe. The H-Competition exhaust doesn't extend all the way over the rear tire though, which helps with clarance. Clearance is the main reason you don't see undertail exhaust on Monsters.
