Well ........being over 40 and all I have noticed a dryness so sometimes a bit of lubricant works wonders........
Not so sure about WD 40 though...........
Yes I got hurt when I had my oooops..........hands,foot,leg,hip,lower back. All in it took 6 months to heal and nothing was broken. Had a cast on my hand for nearly 6 months to immobilize it.........I had some torn up tendons from my thumb all the way back to my elbow. Seems that when you crash going really fast and slam into a mud bank after going across the oncoming lane and through the ditch if you dont let go of the clip ons you about rip your thumbs off. I rode home.I was so cold i could not feel my injuries until I defrosted and then............wahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
Boots.
Try a little bit of shoe polish for the leather bits just rub it in, I'd keep away from chemicals that are petroleum based if your boots are leather .
The squeek will go away if you just ride a bunch and wear them for a couple or three days, gotta break them in. Glad you did not dump your bike on the gravel............ always be careful on that and always avoid using the front brake on gravel. You'll part company with your bike if you lock up the front end.
When I lived on the farm many moons ago if I knew I was going to miss the turn into the driveway I'd just sail on past and turn around. No sense in getting hurt.
Oohhh I remember once I rode my racebike past the farm.........My ex asked me how fast I was going. I just said "9000 rpm in 6th"......... "why are you going 150+ past the farm?" was the reply.......
Well if I gotta explain honey..............
And yes, I missed the driveway..........by about 3/4 of a mile!
Have a happy day!
