How can i tell if i ride an "s" model or not. I need to order a part from the dealer and i think they have ordered the wrong part for me after talking to another dealer.

I ride an 02 620ie, but how do i know if it's an S model or not. I feel stupid for not knowing, but my guess is that it's not.  The bike only has 1 brake rotor on the front, not the double.

You are correct, it probably isn't.

Give aways for non-s monsters: 1 rotor, dark paint scheme, steel swing arm, non-adjustable forks, no carbon fiber bits on the bike.

The side panels below the seat will typically tell you the 'name' of the model you have, including any "S" designations.

As I recall, there was no 620-S.

+1 whatever to a non S.  Generally S models were reserved for the biggest monster of the era, 900S, 1000S, S4Rs etc.  There were a couple special edition 620s but I'm not sure if they got the better suspension that S models got.

You sir, have a 620 Dark 'Monodisco'  besides only having the 1 disc, you also only got 5 gears.  A Duodisco 620 got 6.

-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Really?  Leave it to ducati to have exceptions to their own documentation...

I'm is a '03 620 Dark, but only half dark (silver wheels and frame). I don't think they had 6 speeds in '03.

according to the "standard catalog of ducati motorcycles" the 620S was produced in MY02.

Al swingarm, headlight fairing, DP(?) cans,  CF side covers, heat shields, adjustable linkage and the tall seat.

and the capirex is included in the 'S' line.
