If your bike paid off?  If so do the math and see if it is feasible to buy bike and fix up on the cheap.  If you can make out well then i say do that ride the bike while putting some money away.  Then next year or the year after when the multi has been out for a bit sell your S2R and buy a used multi on the cheap!  Your dreams will come true  [thumbsup]

I like the smaller duc's They seem to be a bit more fun on the streets. Get another S2R.

I owned an S2R 800 for about a year and rode several 1000's.  I moved to an S4R and regret NOTHING.  I like the exposed plumbing but it's a personal taste thing.  The air cooled Monsters feel lighter in the turns but once you get used to the exta weight of the S4R they are buttery smooth.  Go ride one and see for yourself.

my vote would be to stay 2 valve also, but I'd consider getting a used Multistrada as they are coming up dead cheap because people want to get the new Multi....it has everything your old S2R1K has and the ability to be comfortable for those 8+ hour rides as well as commuter/city agility.

I'll likley have a '03 MS1000 for sale that'll be at the sub $7K mark. 8)
