Well they finally went and named them!  These are the people who's time is worth nothing, so they inconsiderately assume my time is worth nothing as well. They are more than willing to stretch my morning commute to for 15min. to save themselves $4.50 at the gas pump. If this is a trend that is going to continue I vote for an un-express lane so they can get out of the way of traffic and quit congesting the roads. Honestly, Hyper-miling in your hybrid car? "40mpg isn't enough for me I want 45mpg." Great just get out of the fast lane, while your getting an extra 20 miles out of a tank of gas. Personally even with the current gas prices I'll pay an extra $4-$5 per week to not have to sit in my cage, I got places to go, and people to see. If this was for pleasure I'd be on the Duc and then I'd be even madder you were holding me up!

Driving conservatively to save fuel is a good thing, going to extremes, holding up traffic and adding to congestion is not.

If the hybrid owners really cared for the environment, they would sit in traffic (they burn no fuel while stopped) and let the diesel trucks who idle there for hours use the diamond lane.
