protecting my baby in this weather

with all this terrible weather, i cant help but get sick at working dreading the worst that i come home and my monster is on the ground. i dont have a garage to keep it in. im more worried about the wind knocking her over than getting rained on. any one have ideas or things they do to prevent possible tip overs? -- Bob

In this kind of weather, it's probably better to uncover your bike, especially for us naked peeps.  A little rain won't hurt your bike, but that cover acts like a sail in high winds.  Naked bikes with lots of places to vent that wind pressure are a bit less prone to tipping if uncovered.

before I bought my house with my garage...I was considering buying one of those modular Rubbermaid quick storage units big enough to put my bike in for weather protection and a certain level of security (more of the "out of sight is out of mind" variation)....but you get the idea...

Got a few options..

There's the cycleshell.

A wheel chock

Rearstand.

Cycle shells's like a soft top garage deal-y.  Look it up.

I've got a Baxley sport chock that park my bike in.  Though I've got to park outside I'm lucky that there's a sturdy anchor point that I lock the bike to, or the chock when the bikes out.  So I just leave the chock out in the spot, locked down.

A rear stand might be a good option.  THough I do wonder about it on a SSS bike, since there's more potential for it slip off if the winds going *that* way.  Maybe a rearstand + a sinch strap.. just a thought.
