Hey everyone,
I'm about to pull apart my bars/triple for the addition of some beautiful clip-on's. In effort to not have to figure it out as I go aka "break sh*t and learn what not to do next time", is there a thread or simple instructions somewhere here that shows/explains the process of removing the top triple on a 696? I've yet to pull apart one of these so I'd rather defer to some experience before doing the deep dive and risking an "uh-oh" moment.

Or is it so straight forward my question is ridiculous? Just wondering if there are some tips I should be aware of.

Thanks in advance.

Be careful not to damage your steering head lock.  Make sure you back out the steering limit bolts so that you can get maximum turn on the steering before you attempt to remove the top triple bolts.  Only remove the centre top triple bolt when you have the steering FULLY to the right.  If you didnt first back out the steering limit bolts you wont have enough clearance to remove this centre bolt.

then again a good time to upgrade the DP steering nut!
