Anybody have the leo vince pipe on a s2r800? If you do, what do you think about it?
Nice sound, too loud, not loud enough???

Thanks

I have a set on my 750 sie.

I think they look and sound 100 times better than Arrow or Zards do...

My wingman has Leo Vince pipes on his Speed Triple and finally took the damn baffles out after a lot of ribbing from me  [roll] and it sounds killer. But it is a wacky 3 cylinder!  [laugh]

Would be intersting to hear on the L-twin...

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example!

I have it and it has really cool welds, nice sound, but it is a tad bit quiet for my taste.

dcal

I have them. Nice weight reduction, great look, and awesome sound.  Add the cat eliminator for more of all 3.

I had it on my bike for a while.  The can is long if you have a tail chop, and I never >loved< the spaghetti thingy, but it sounded great and was VERY well made.

PLUS, their customer support is top notch.  I called in asking about chopping the can and they gave me exact instructions on where best to cut it.   [thumbsup]

Mine was coated in a matte silver ceramic finish and that's a Sparks header.  The length was the only thing I didn't like, the spaghetti too, i guess.

it was very tight, which I liked -- tight against the bike.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

so is your can cut down?  This is the pipe i want but i too have a chopped tail.  might look goofy without cutting it down.

no, it's not cut.  i would have chopped about 2-3" off the end.

i have the leo vince, and i like the twisty turny thing that leads to the can. however, as everyone around here already knows, i have a keen sense of lean running motors and adding the 2 into 1 with out the cat caused my s2r to run lean. i used the marvin cat eliminator along with a pc 3 and full dyno. and now i love it. with out removing the cat however, the sound is pretty much the same as stock at idle and low rpms. you can hear what the exhaust really wants to sound like when you engine brake or blip the throttle under a highway overpass.
I know its an extra expense but going with the full system is the way to go. loud, for a 2 valve per cylinder eight hundred, and it looks cool too! [thumbsup]

Oh by the way with the full system my eighthundred put out 77 hp at the rear wheel with 48lbs of torque. doesn't sound like much, but its a world of difference from stock.

oh, i haven't logged on in a while so let me get this out of my system......696 [puke] [puke] [puke] [puke] [puke] [puke]

Every site that I have seen them say that they are for 2003 to 2006 S2R.
They didn't change anything on the 07 800 so is it safe to say that they will work on the 07 as well???

I'm an obsessive listener to sound bytes of exhausts, and Leo Vince just sound "right" on all four of the bikes I've been shopping around - Duc, Triumph Street Trip, and Kaw 650R and '08 250R

They've got the magic pixie dust to sprinkle in those pipes  ;D

i agree, it was a very nice sound.  lots of different tones, lot of low and mid tones, very little high resonance.
