givng out my VIN number?

I have a guy who wants to buy another vehicle from me. He wants my VIN # so he can have his insurance adgent check it out. Can anything bad happen doing this? I mean anyone could walk up to the bike and see it if it were parked.....?

Ya its fine.  Common practice.
