Cracked Speedometer Screen. Do I need a whole cluster?

This forum is pretty sweet.  My friend has a Honda CB he's been having trouble with.  I tell him, "Post on the Honda forum."  He did, still can't get a solid answer.  I was puzzled.  The guy is a decent mechanic, gives good descriptions of the problem.  I guess we're pretty lucky to have a forum with this much insight.
