Kelly Pavlik is one amazing fighter. Even against a vastly under-rated fighter, he used the fight against Lockett to hone his skills.

It would be dream to see him fight Joe Calzaghe.

That would be a great fight.  Did JC hang up his gloves after the Hopkins fight?

Since there are no good fighters for him, he needs to move to the UFC   Evil  It would be awesome to see a great pro boxer over there.

My understanding was JC wants to fight Pavlik.  I think Lockett trains with JC in the same gym, so this was a great opportunity for Calzaghe to scout his opponent.

Pavlik is a great set-up puncher and finisher.  I really enjoy watching him fight.  I think him going at it with Calzaghe would be epic, and I really hope someone puts this fight together.

///this debate rages ad nauseum on Sherdog's forums, but sufice to say there's plenty of free youtube video evidence of really good boxers failing to transition well to MMA.
