i've looked at a couple 1000 cranks, and i found some of them look very close to 900 cranks. has anybody tried to stroke and 900 to gain the extra 3.5mm.

not that kinda stroke freaks. laughingdp

the three phase alt cranks will swap.  into a single phase alt motor you'll need to change the alternator, cover, etc to 3 phase as well.
