...  Besides- Lady Elaine Fairchilde scared the shit out of me.

Yeah man, that land of make believe had some scary shit.

Check this for some trippy shit... I'm sure Fred would be encouraging and find it interesting.   [thumbsup]

I liked hearing Fred's messages throughout. These are good lessons for kids that people don't really address. "You can never go down the drain".

"everybody does some bad things, you know"

"someday, I said, I'm really going to marry my mom"

That was a trippy video...Kembrew Mcleod's makes Mr Rogers seem like a psychopath!

Holy carp!!!  From here on out I vow to pre-screen what my kids watch!  I knew he was like Ward Cleaver but I had no idea it was more like Cleaver Ward!  [laugh]

Fred- you still rock the cardigan.  See you in wherever.  "Existence is but an illusion...."
"It ain't cool being no jive turkey this close to Thanksgiving."

I've heard from numerous people that he was a marine before doing his t.v. show but the wiki article doesn't say anything about it. I'm not a wiki-worshiper by any means, but i would have thought if it was true it would have made it into the article. Anyone know anything about Mr. Rogers being a marine?

It's a common rumor. Not true.

When I was a kid, I always thought he was creepy.  It beats some of the ADHD-inducing stuff on tv now, I must admit.

I remember watching every weekend waiting to be seen in that magic mirror.

His voice brings back mamories of pb&J, with a coke and patato chips for lunch while watching tv.

But man I think all the sweaters, highwaters and deck shoes he wore made me rebel in the clothes that I wore as I grew up
