Clutch proplems

 [popcorn]Was on a benifit ride last weekend and the wet clutch on my 02 620 started slipping. First only under hard acceleration by the end of the day just getting out of the parking lot was tricky. Going to replace the clutch pack, anybody know which parts are best?  And should I replace the springs as well as they don't include them in the kit.

how many miles on the pack? and yes i would replace the springs, they get worn out too.

I dont have experience with wet clutch on barnetts, someone else may be able to chime in here for that. They are much cheaper than OEM ones. You can also pick up used packs here and there for dirt cheap. Some people even throw them away.

I was forunteate enough to get a free dry clutch pack from a board member that swapped to a 48T basket and had no use for them.

Not likely that the plates are worn out at that low a mileage.

Either something has failed in the clutch or the plates have glazed due to too much slipping.

Did you just change the oil?
2000 Monster 900Sie, a few changes
1992 900 SS, currently a pile of parts.  Now running
                    flogged successfully  NHMS  12 customized.  Twice.   T3 too.   Now retired.

Oil was changed in April 2010 same oil I used last year with no problems but 6000 mile service was performed in May by the dealer and clutch master cylinder was replaced due to leaking seals all fluid was drained and replaced. Possibility? [moto]

Find out what was put in for oil, that could be the problem

 [coffee]Been using AMSOIL motorcycle oil for 2 years with no problems, also use it in my K1200RS.

M620's seem to have a lot of clutch problems (I guessed you had an M620 just from reading the thread title) and the clutches also seem to be very sensitive to different oil.  Are you 100% sure the dealer put in the same Amsoil you've been using?  Just asking since Amsoil is not normally put in at dealerships.
