Who's got the best selection of rain gear in LA?  I live in Hollywood and soon may be using my bike exclusively to get around and to work.  I know it doesn't rain often here, but when it does I need to be ready.

Thanks for the help.

I've used my mountaineering shell over my regular gear.
Waterproof and wind proof up to 75 mph.
Got it at REI for like 60 bucks.
High Sierra I think is the brand.
It's cut to fit over mountaineering parkas, so it fits well with leathers.
Just make sure you tuck the hood in, so you don't strangle yourself!  (like me)   [roll] [bang]

I only see jesus having a sauna with a teletubbie.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

I think there's a 2-piece you can get that just goes over whatever you're wearing.  I can ask my co-worker (he rides in ANY weather... far more daring than I am).  You will have to be more creative with footwear.  Otherwise I'd just suggest some water-proofed military style boots (Bates).  Several outdoor and LEO supply stores will Scotchgard items for you.  Fees will vary.

Enduro suits are EXPENSIVE, so a shell, especially a 2-piece with an elasticized waistband on the pants would make the most sense, economically.

I'll get back to you... otherwise remind me with a PM.   ;D

OK, so I asked my buddy and he tells me he uses Frog Toggs.  Great product, not too expensive, etc.  He picked his up at a bike shop in the valley, though he doesn't recall which.  Looks like Google might have the answer, though!

if you are at ALL serious about it, but an Aero Stitch. Worth every penny.

You can also get a POS tourmaster suit that is a direct rip off for about half the price, but like most tour master stuff, its barely half as good.
