Route planning software recommendations?

I've recently begun leading organized rides and I've been using a site I used for planning road bike (the pedal variety) tours. It does a GREAT job of laying out a route, but the directions list it generates is TERRIBLE. lefts instead of rights, some roads not even referenced... miserable.

So, anyone using any great route planning software, either web based or otherwise? Anroid mobile compatibility would be a bonus but not required, I usually just print the map on vinyl and adhere it to my tank.

One of my favorites is VPike   I am not sure about its map printing function, but it gives real road level views.  Its great for checking road surfaces, landmarks at intersections, etc.   Free on the internet - just google it.

Nice site, but doesn't allow me to manually draw a route to calculate mileage, and I didn't really see a print function beyond what Google Maps will give me. Thanks though!
