I found a couple weeks ago when I was at VIR for the race I no longer have a hi beam. It's almost inspection time so I got a new Sylvania Silverstar and slipped it in and....still no no hi beam & now the thing doesn't have low beam til I hit the switch just right. I knew I should have check the switch first.[bang] Anyway it's an '00 M750 dark and the passing switch quit working about a year ago. Anything weird in there or is it just a matter of taking things apart and cleaning/throwing some dielectic grease on everything?

As always thanks in advance.

I'll bet a cleaning would do it...if you can get all those little pieces back in. ;D

Last switch I took apart was a 1978 Rd-400...are they smaller than that? [beer]

Ok, pull it apart and DP is right, bunch of little pieces. I took a few pics to make sure I had an idea of how things went back together, but ran into a small problem hidden.

the first pic shows the two pieces that fit together, the second is of one with a small copper piece with a hook in it that I failed to get a photo of before it was disassembled. My question is what does it hook?

Thanks for the fix. I'll give Speedog a day to get out of the Indy race bubble and then try DV. ;D

For future searchers reference I pull that small piece forward and down. Gave contacts a thorough cleaning with RS control contact cleaner & lube, buttoned everything up and turned the key...got both low and hi beam and my passing switch works again too!

This Modelo Especial tastes particularly sweet tonight ;D
