Maybe he's a moto-skate courier dude?

With the Busa and inlines, he could do really fast delivery.
Till he got to the city.

I can't imagine a Busa in SF with skates on.  Tongue

it seems to me coming to a stop and keeping the bike upright would be more difficult then shifting or braking.

Yeah, how the hell does he shift? I can see stomping away on the brake lever but it does take some graceful moves with the left foot on the shifter. Busas are kinda torquey but you still need to shift. Puzzling evidence...  Huh?

It is a 'busa.

Probably has an air or electronic shifter.

Paula rear ended him on her 695.

No really-my wife has been in an accident with him. He has some medical condition that means he don't walk so well, but apparently can skate.

It's probably for when he has to bail, easier to ditch the Police with a rolling start.

How does he get the kickstand down? Does he just park next to the other bikes and let his flop all over the the bikes next to him? I tried that once on the Super Hawk and put a big scratch on the tail. It's not the thing to do if you ask me.

The accident was caused by a mechanical issue (my brake levers not adjusted properly) when lane-splitting behind him on 101.  He had done some sudden braking and I wasn't able to fully stop in time.

I broke his taillight, he was a gentleman about it and just asked me to cover the expense of replacing it.

When we were on the shoulder exchanging info, CHP stopped by and queried him about the rollerblades, he does have a handicapped plate and a court order allowing him to ride with them on.  He had previously broken his pelvis and can't walk around easily, and said that he can't drive or take public transit.  CHP was incredulous but let him go with his paperwork.

Oh, after I hit him, I fell over.  I mostly lifted the bike back up on my own, and someone hopped out of their car and helped with the rest, then I got over to the shoulder.  Later on, when I was talking with him about the taillight, he apologized and said he should have helped me lift my bike.  I have no idea how he would do so.... Shocked
