One last question:
Do I have to use the wiring harness from the 900SS? The reason why I ask is 'cos it's kinda messed up. What electrical components can I use from the Monster for this conversion? DO I use the coils from the 900SS or the Monster? Again, I am a babe in the woods, so I appreciate your patience.
Use the Monster harness. It will fit the bike better. Most of the stuff is the same although you may have to do a little something because you're going backwards to a two phase charging system. Stu can probably point you on that.
All the peripherals like coils and ignitor boxes should work from either bike. You should use the Monster airbox etc...
Really...just swap the motor and put a 2 phase regulator in it and it should be fine.
