M1100 Valve adjust

How different is the 1100 head from the 1000 head espically when it comes to checking the valve clearancea? i.e.-the rocker positions?

I dont think Ducati has really significantly changed their 2V system since it was applied to the monster. Just technical improvements in materials, fueling, tolerances, etc.

Im betting its the same ole crap as the 600', 620's, 750's, 800's, 900's, 1000's. I think the only real difference is the style of the shims. I dont think they are compatible. With the older models.

They process should be the same though.

Thanks for the response. I know the shims changed from 8mm to 7mm along the way and after 2007, all (with a few exceptions) have been the 7mm opener/closer shims. I had an acquaintence say the rockers were different from the 1000 and he couldn't check the valve clearances the way he thought   ?
