Problem lining up exhaust (mufflers)

I have a QD mid pipe installed on my S4R with Termi cans. Both cans are shotgun on one side. The bottom can is dangerously close to the rear wheel, about 1cm clearance. I have tried adjusting it from where the mid pipe and muffler pipes meet but it doesnt seem to stay. I am wondering if there are any other places i shouls be adjusting it from.

have you tried loosening the mufflers and connector pipes and moving the whole lot to see if this helps.

another thought, have you got the header pipe mounted correctly?
