I have a 1100 monster and just completed my first 600 service myself but don't know how to turn off the service light.

Can someone tell me how to reset the computer to turn off the service notification (wrench)

Thanks for you help.

Thanks I am surprised that they are the only ones that can reset the service notification (wrench).  Looks like I will be making a trip to Seattle next week subject to sunshine.

Best Regards.

Service Light Problem Solved,

Ducati Seattle provided the same great service as always and they reset the ECU.  Mitch, Dave, Eric, Ralph and the team put me back on the road quickly.  The added benefit was a first class hamburger at the BBQ.  I have to say service and friendship with this dealer goes hand in hand.

Thanks forum members for your help.

Lucky you. My local dealer would not reset the light because they did not perform the service. They gave me a bunch of shit because I "wasn't trained" to complete the service. Yep I was never trained to change the oil and filter...Difficult stuff.
Is this thing on?

can't you do the same thing as the old ones?  you hold down the trip meter and while still pressing you turn the key on.....worked on mine.

It would be hard for me to listen to someone tell me I couldn't change my oil because it is too technical.  The mechanics let me watch them reset the ECU,......engaged in a great conversation about what mods I can make with the exhaust, air cleaner and ECU (go fast mods).  All good information and a free hamburger to top it off.  I feel lucky to have my own Ducati Team in Seattle.

I tried all combinations and couldn't reset the service light.  I live 60 miles from the dealer and intend to do most of my maintenance and that was why I wanted to try to reset it without a trip to the dealer.  They confirmed that on the newer bikes they have to hook it up to the computer and reset the ECU.  Since they didn't charge for the reset and they provided a great BBQ I have to believe they were staight up.
