I'm going to make some custom gauge faces for my speedometer and tachometer. I can see the current faces are a plastic material held in place by two small screws. My question is how do I remove the clear "lens" without destroying it? Does it "pop" off? Thanks

What year and model of bike are you modding the guages on?

Some years/models yes, others no.

It is a 2000 M900- fuel injected.

There were several threads on this on TOB. ( the precursor to the DMF)

For your gauges IIRC - you have to cut - carefully - under the "trim ring"

and then "glue" the plastic bezel back on........

Someone posted step by step instructions  - sorry I can' be more specific.
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

In other words, you don't without "damaging" it.

Well,
That answers it. Thank you for the link: I will resign myself to cutting apart the gauges. I believe it will be worth the effort!

I thought I remembered the person in another thread who cut right under the trim ring.

But this way looks like it would "hide" better.

Good luck - you might want to take step-by-step pictures and let us know how it works out for you
