Acting Outlaws, comprised of Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer, launch their charity motorcycle ride (titled 'The LA La Ride') this week from Los Angeles, CA. The two actresses will be riding their donated BMW bikes for a near 2500 miles all the way to New Orleans, Louisiana where they will end up at the VooDoo Music Festival.
In conjunction with the Gulf Restoration Network, the charity ride was developed as a way to raise awareness for the damage done to the Gulf region after the BP oil spill disaster â€" which continues to devastatingly impact the coast.

In addition to the wonderful sponsorships given by companies such as BMW and Veev, Katee and Tricia have invested their own money in to this ride to make sure it was done right.
Riding along with them will be a small film crew to document the trek, which will be posted on the site in the months following.
In addition, Acting Outlaws will be selling merchandise with a portion of all profits going towards the charity as well, giving something for people to express and showcase their support.

That's pretty cool.  Good cause.  I would be more than willing to offer them a place to stay if they pass through this way.  8)
