Man that Britten V1000 is cool.

One of my best friend's older brothers has one of the 10 Brittens. It's on display in his office. He is also the guy who broke the 40+ year old land speed record set by the Goldenrod streamliner that I posted about on the Racing & Trackdays thread. The dude is a major gearhead and speed junkie... anything wrong with that? Thought not...  waytogo

The Britten story is a great one. Too bad it had to end so soon.

I spent a lot of time drooling over the many details of that machine at the Barber museum....I didn't have the balls to jump up on the stand and sit on it like I did two other machines...but it was lustful thinking for sure which would have nicely accompanied the technical ecstacy that it provided looking over it for the extended time that I did...
